Greetings, we are Rick and Kris Freeman
Aka. Pastor Rick and Pastor Kris of Jubilee House of Praise. Praise God, that our disciples have gone on with the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and now gather in several house churches and we believe there are many more to come.
What is a disciple? The dictionary defines a disciple as 1: one who accepts and assists in spreading the doctrines of another: as a: one of the twelve in the inner circle of Christ's followers according to the Gospel accounts b: a convinced adherent of a school or individual
The word of God says in John 8:31 (NKJV)
Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed".
Lets look at the word make. Websters dictionary has many definitions.
Here are a few:
- 1 a: obsolete : behave , act
- 2 a: to cause to happen to or be experienced by someone,
- 3 a: to bring into being by forming, shaping.
b: to begin or seem to begin (an action),
b: to cause to exist, occur, or appear : create,
There are many more definitions but these help us to understand how we are to cause people to want to follow Christ and to become like Christ.
Wow are people flocking to our churches to become followers of Christ?
Sadly not. Why? “The Church” has not fulfilled the command of Mathew 28:19,20.
We believe the discipleship process God has given us will “MAKE” disciples for Christ.
Do you want to be obedient to Gods word? A disciple is!
Maybe you are thinking right now that you have a family and obligations. So how could you possibly make disciples? There is a way. Every one is called to be part of the body of Christ. Some are helpers, pastors, evangelist, prophets, teachers, and the list could go on. There are many parts to the body and every one is as important as the other.
Maybe you can not go out to make disciples everyday, living with them, teaching them to do what Jesus did. But, there are things you can do to make disciples. First, PRAY for us. Next, PRAY for us. When Jesus repeated something in the word it was most important. Next, monthly financial support is needed and appreciated. Every dollar you invest into the Kingdom of God is an investment that returns untold blessings seen and unseen in your life.
Allow me to lay out the simplified logistical plan. Kris and I have the opportunity to bring couples into the discipleship center where we live and disciple them. Once they are trained they will be sent out to do the same thing. This cycle will be repeated over and over again. Our vision is to see discipleship centers that can handle hundreds of people at a time.
These centers will eventually be self supporting and even a blessing into every community they are placed. Yes there will be the opportunity for you also to go online to be discipled and disciple others(coming soon www.memlive.org .) But the best way is, like Jesus who lived with his disciples. Yes this is just a part of the picture. There will be outdoor meetings, house churches planted and much more. There is not enough room to share all the things God has planned.
You may say what can 2 people do? The bible teaches us when He does things in Deuteronomy 32:30 “How could one chase a thousand, And two put ten thousand to flight, Unless their Rock had sold them, And the LORD had surrendered them?” God will do it. We are to be willing vessels.
God has a supernatural multiplication table. Jesus began with 12 then 70 then on and on as the disciples made other disciples. Today 95% of the population that has ever lived on earth is alive now. We have the best opportunity to participate in the work of God and be a part of the supernatural growth of the Kingdom in these next few years.
